ካርቦን ሞኖክሳይድ!!!!
Here is a random PDF I pulled up from the vast depths of the Internet, the file is a small pamphlet detailing the dangers of Carbon Monoxide poisoning in Tigrinya; it’s a public health warning from the Washington state government. Now, why would I link you a random Tigrigna health pamphlet from the Washington state [...]

IPA
IPA stands for the International Phonetic Alphabet. It’s the universal script that linguists use to map out the phonetic sounds of every word in every language in the world. So (theoretically) if you are familiar with the IPA you can perfectly read out loud, any text, in any language, perfectly, as long as that text [...]

EriTV – Streaming Live On The Net
Most people in the Erispora (a cute portmanteau of “Eritrean” & “Diaspora;” of which I’m not the first to use…) already know this, so this post is for all of you non-Eritreans. Eastafro.com is streaming Eritrean television (EriTV) free on the Internet for anybody to watch. So for all of you Tigrigna students who wished [...]

Dictionary fun
I’ve almost finished adding a few more terms to the English/Tigrigna dictionary. It seems that the totals are 4,062 for the English one and 5,058 for the Tigrinya side. Still small, but growing!

One Year!
Hey, I almost forgot… This December marks the one year anniversary of this website/blog. It was one year ago that I uploaded my first Tigrigna/English dictionary and published my first Tigrigna lesson. I always believed that what I’m doing is nothing special. I am only doing what anyone with a ‘passing familiarity’ and some incomplete [...]
