However in my defence I would like to say that if a language (like Tigrigna) doesn't have a regulatory body who sets such rules, one can't really make orthographical mistakes. You are correct; while “ጉንበት” is known to exist, “ግንቦት” is (by far) the preferred spelling/pronunciation.
